For this rebrand, I designed a grid system and color palette based on the existing Google Play prism. In practice, this grid provided a dynamic foundation for playful transitions and clean lockups.


The angles and proportions within the Google Play prism served as the building blocks for the grid system. The line height and the length of the graphic spacer were both determined by the interesting lines of the grid.


Wanting to keep things consistent, I allowed the grid and diagonal lines to influence every aspect of the rebrand: the logo fly-in/fly-out, the chapter titles, and the lower thirds.
